Brad Eitniear Earns First Papa Boiler Dominator Super Stock Spectacular

WAUSEON, OH – Brad Eitniear had an impressive run to the front to win his first $1,000 Papa Boiler Dominator Super Stock Spectacular Saturday evening at Oakshade Raceway.

At the drop of the green flag Jarrett Rendel got the jump over pole-sitter Scott Hammer and led the first part of the 25-lap main event. Brother Jake Rendel began pressuring Jarrett for the race lead a few laps into the event. Jordan Conover then took over second after a mid-race caution and began to put the heat on Jarrett Rendel.

Conover, and a few other front runners, would drop out of competition before the conclusion of the race. In the end, Wauseon, Ohio’s Brad Eitniear, in an Adam Lantz #8, would drive from the 12th starting position to pick up the checkered flag. Jake Rendel was able to get by Jarrett to finish second with Craig Dippman finishing third after also starting deep in the field. Jarrett Renden and Jeff Foks Jr. were the rest of the top five finishers.

The DCR Graphics Sportsman feature had a great three-car battle at the front just about the entire distance of the 20-lap race. Rusty Smith from Sylvania, Ohio, started on the pole and led from the start with outside pole-sitter Roman Brown in pursuit. Ryan Davis joined the battle moving up from his fifth starting position to third.

The three drivers ran pretty much nose to tail until the final few laps when they caught the tail end of the field. That is when things got a bit more exciting. Brown took a shot at the outside of Smith which opened the door for Davis to move into second on the inside. Davis then drove hard into turn three on the final lap to get to the inside of Smith, but Smith was able to hang on for the win with Davis a very close second. Brown finished third followed by Josh Robertson and Mike Jessen.

Port Clinton, Ohio’s Tim Streight made it two feature wins in a row in the Compact A Main after leading from flag to flag in an eventful race. Ken Wells was able to close in to the back bumper of Streight once the leaders had to start dealing with lapped traffic late in the race. Unfortunately for Wells, the caution flag flew with just two laps to go giving Streight clear track ahead for the final two laps.

Streight went on to pick up the win with Wells finishing second ahead of Mark Prather, Megan Elliott and Payton Hovis.

Just before feature race action, the final Chris Mize Memorial Hot Dog race was held for Compact drivers that pitted Megan Elliott against Ken Wells. Wells took off ahead of Elliott at the start and also finished the hot dog eating portion with the lead. Elliott made a come from behind victory after making up time getting strapped back into her car following the hot dog eating and then went on to set the fastest overall time at 2 minutes 39 seconds from all four classes’ hot dog race events earning her the Chris Mize Memorial Championship belt sponsored by Big D’s BBQ and Charlie K’s BBQ. For her efforts, Elliott also pocketed $50 from A2Z Mobile, Freeze Frame Photos winner photos, $50 Wallace Racing Products gift certificate, SpeedySponsors.com prize pack that includes a sticker and two Oakshade Raceway grandstand passes, two hot dogs and two sodas, Oakshade Raceway pit pass and a G&J extra larger two-item pizza.
