The Second Annual Attica Raceway Park-Oakshade Raceway Late Model Series Challenge will kick off Friday, May 4 at Attica and continue Saturday, May 5 at Oakshade Raceway located just outside of Wauseon, Ohio.
Each Attica/Oakshade event will pay the feature winner $1,200 ($200 to start the A-main) and the series carries a point fund that will reward the champion $1,000 with second in points taking home $700; third in points $500 and fourth in points $200. The top 10 in the final points will each receive gift cards from Summit Racing Equipment as well.
“Last year’s series was a lot of fun and it did what we wanted it to do and that’s encourage our teams to compete at Oakshade on Saturdays and have some of their teams come to Attica on Fridays. We’ve already had several Oakshade regulars compete at Attica this year,” said Rex LeJeune, Director of Operations at Attica Raceway Park.
Devin Shiels, the track champion in 2017 at both Attica Raceway Park and Oakshade Raceway, claimed the inaugural Attica-Oak Shade Challenge Series title with Ryan Missler, a five time Attica champion, second and Steve Kester rounding out the top three.
Following the May 4 and 5 events, the next races in the series challenge are Friday, June 29 at Attica and Saturday, June 30 at Oakshade; and wraps up Friday, July 20 at Attica and Saturday, July 21 at Oakshade.
